Chris Jones, President and Founder
For over 20 years, Chris has been immersed in the ever-changing office equipment business. He began his career representing traditional copier manufacturers' Sharp, Minolta and Canon. In 1995 he started Carefree Office Technology, Inc with the commitment to provide a higher level of customer service to busy office managers, owners and IT staff. Since then, he has built Carefree into the most dependable office equipment business in the DC metro area. With an employee staff of expert technicians and knowledgeable sales and support people, you can count on Carefree to "have the plan when you want to print, copy, fax or scan!" A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Chris is always available to our customers as he is onsite and actively involved in the day to day operations of Carefree. His wife Tammy and their kids, Tyler, Connor & Carly live in Sterling, VA. Chris is also active in his church community and enjoys all outdoor activities.
Joann Melsop, Director of Operations
Joann wears many hats at Carefree. In addition to overseeing all aspects of company accounting and financial performance, she directly manages our admin and service teams and even functions as our HR Manager. She is involved in virtually all aspects of Carefree's continuing efforts to be the best Print Management company in the region. Joann is passionate about customer service, and can often be found answering customer phone calls herself.
Erick Jackson, Service Manager
Erick has been with Carefree since 1996. He has been instrumental in growing Carefree into the most dependable and respected laser printer service company in the DC Metro area. In addition to managing our service operation, he holds the highest Hewlett-Parkard and Xerox service certifications for all laser printers, MFPs, plotters and color laser printers. He leads a service team that is also qualified to service various other brands of printers, faxes & multifunctionals to include Lexmark, QMS, Brother, Canon & others. Erick is committed to creating long term customer relationships that will stand the test of time. When not serving Carefree's clients, Erick and his wife Eileen spend every moment with their young twins Anthony & Victoria. Erick fantasizes that he is a NY Yankee!

Just wanted to take a quick moment and let you know what a great operation you have going over there. Dominion Wealth Management, Inc. couldn't be more pleased with the two products we purchased from you (the mfp 4345 and the hp 3000 laserjet) and the continued service you and your team have provided. Specifically I'd like to thank Adam for teaching us how to use the machines and for assisting us over the phone when queries arise, and I'd like to thank Wil for taking the time to set up a colleague of ours, Patty Copolla, on a 4345 at her home.
